About us





Catherine (or Cathy) I am an English teacher in France. I work in a high school (15 to 18 year-old-students). It has been fun to work on Irish films, and I think I am going to use some of them in class.
Jan. I am an English teacher from The Czech republic. I teach at a primary school in Hradec Kralove, which is some 100 km from Prague. I love films and I really enjoyed working on this project! I also learned a lot of useful information and I hope you will learn some too.
Rosa. Hi I am an English teacher from Spain and I teach mainly adults. I think films are a great tool for learning and teaching and it was great getting to know more things on Irish cinema.

Cinema-goers statistics

According to a survey conducted by TGI there were 1.5 million cinema goers, nowadays the number of cinema-goers has increased to 2.4 million.
At around ten euros each cinema ticket.....can you do the math?
_In the aforementioned survey 2/3 of the people older than 15 were heavy cinema-goers visiting theatres at least once a month. 
_The survey mentioned that, in general women tend to go to Romantic, Comedy and Disneylike films while men are more into action films.
